DETROIT (AP) — A person with knowledge of the deal says free agent slugger Victor Martinez has agreed to a four-year contract with the Tigers. The 35-year old, who would reportedly earn $68 million over the length of the deal, hit his .335 with 32 home runs and 103 runs batted in last season.
