No. 3 Wisconsin routs Northern Kentucky 62-31

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Frank Kaminsky scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help No. 3 Wisconsin beat Northern Kentucky 62-31 on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

Sam Dekker added 15 points for the Badgers, while Daniel Camps led the Norse with eight points.

Though the Badgers hit just less than half of their shots overall, they weren’t sharp from 3-point range. They hit just 4 of 17, good for only 24 percent.

Northern Kentucky, meanwhile, wasn’t sharp from anywhere. The Norse shot just 26 percent, including 2 of 16 from long range.
