CHARLOTTE, NC — There will be major traffic delays in parts of East Charlotte Saturday, thanks in part to the Annual Southern Christmas show at the Park Expo. Traffic will back up on Independence Boulevard as people try to find parking.
Spaces will be limited, because nearly 6,000 people are expected at a women’s conference across the street at Bojangles Coliseum. But the traffic trouble is not stopping people form getting a jump start on the holidays.
“Everything that has to do with Christmas and those wonderful memories are right here at the show,” said Southern Shows CEO Joan Zimmerman. “If you can walk into this show and leave without the spirit of Christmas, you have to be a real Grinch.”
