GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals are 9-1 for the first time since 1948 after Drew Stanton threw touchdown passes to Michael Floyd on Arizona’s first two possessions in a 14-6 win over Detroit. HOMESTEAD, Fla. (AP) — Kevin Harvick is a first-time Sprint Cup champion after winning yesterday’s season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. A debris caution with 20 laps remaining forced the four championship contenders to make tough strategy decisions that ultimately decided their fate. Harvick restarted 12th with 15 laps to go but was helped out by a series of cautions that allowed him to nose out Ryan Newman, Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano for the championship.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida will begin a search for a new football coach after deciding to fire Will Muschamp after four seasons. Muschamp will coach the Gators in their final two games, including the season finale against Florida State. He is 27-20, including 17-15 in conference play.
