The men turned themselves in at police headquarters.  Both will be charged with murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.

CHARLOTTE, NC – Sunday night police released pictures of two suspects they’re looking for in connection with a deadly shooting on Tuckaseegee Road.

“It seemed like it could have been avoided. But it may have happened eventually they were gonna cross paths,” says Sam McClure. Jermaine McClure’s uncle says an ongoing dispute led up to his nephew’s murder.

Investigators tell us two men were fighting inside the Quick ‘n EZ Food Mart Saturday night. Several other suspects entered and began firing. Three people were shot including 32-year-old McClure who died in the hospital Sunday morning.

“You know, he had been in some trouble. And I think maybe with his past he shouldn’t have been so boisterous and high-profile in the area,” McClure says.

He says his nephew had recently gotten out of jail but was trying to turn his life around. He had recently applied for college.

“About three weeks ago, he went up to the church and got saved,” he says.
