JERUSALEM — A fifth person has died following a terror attack on a synagogue in Jerusalem.
Two Palestinian cousins with knives, axes and guns attacked worshipers during morning prayers. they killed four Rabbis, three of whom were American citizens. Six other people were injured, including the officer who died.
The suspects were killed in a gun battle with police inside the synagogue. Israel’s Prime Minister, Mark Regev, is vowing a strong response to the violence.
“We can’t allow the recurrence of this atrocity against innocent civilians, and we will do what needs to be done to protect our people and to return safety, and peace and quiet to Jerusalem,” said Regev.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte condemns the attack, telling WCCB, “Palestinian leadership are guilty of inciting their people to commit these acts of terror against innocent Israelis, further deepening the divide and inhibiting the potential for peace.”
