Another Manning fourth quarter miracle…Cowboys squeak by Giants

DENVER (AP) β€” Peyton Manning directed the Denver Broncos to 22 points in the fourth quarter in orchestrating a 39-36 come-from-behind victory over upset-minded Miami at Mile High yesterday. Manning completed 28 of 35 passes for 257 yards and four touchdowns, including three to to Demaryius Thomas. C.J. Anderson ran for 167 yards and the go-ahead score for the AFC West-leading Broncos.

SEATTLE (AP) β€”The Seattle Seahawks handed Arizona just its second loss of the season with a 19-3 victory over the Cardinals, who had their six-game winning streak end. Russell Wilson found backup tight end Cooper Helfet on a 20-yard catch-and-run touchdown late in the third quarter and finished 17 of 22 for 211 yards with 73 more yards rushing.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) β€” The Dallas Cowboys remained tied with 8-3 Philadelphia atop the NFC East by rallying to beat the New York Giants 31-28. Tony Romo hit Dez Bryant with a 13-yard TD pass with 61 seconds left for the winning score at the Meadowlands.

PHILADELPHIA (AP)β€” Mark Sanchez threw for 307 yards and one touchdown in his third start for the Eagles as the replacement for injured Nick Foles and Philadelphia beat Tennessee 43-24. Sanchez has hit for 300 yards passing in three straight games now, tying an Eagles team record. The 8-3 Eagles will now turn their attention to Dallas as the top two teams in the NFC East square off on Thanksgiving Day.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) β€” The Oakland Athletics have filled their second key position in five days, acquiring first baseman Ike Davis and an international bonus slot from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for a higher slot in the international bonus selection. Oakland, which lost in the AL wild-card game to Kansas City, signed designated hitter Billy Butler to a $30 million, three-year contract Wednesday.
