(AP) — Fred Miller scored 15 points and Ty Greene added 14 with four assists as South Carolina-Upstate defeated Florida International 68-53 in the opener of the Spartanburg Marriott Upstate Classic yesterday. It’s the best five-game start for Upstate since joining Division I in 2007-08.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Ronrico White scored 21 points — 18 of which came in the second half — and Casey Jones added 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead Chattanooga past Coastal Carolina 78-67 in the championship game of the Battle 4 Atlantis’ mainland bracket yesterday. White had scored 31 points in the Mocs’ first five games.
