LILONGWE, Malawi (AP) β Madonna has left Malawi after a visit that included meeting with the president and the biological father of one of her adopted children.
Sarah Ezzy, director of the U.S. pop star’s charity Raising Malawi, confirmed Madonna’s departure on her private jet on Monday.
Madonna has been visiting Malawi since 2006. She funds a number of orphanages and schools in the country. On Thursday, she helped open a new 50-bed pediatrics ward in the commercial capital, Blantyre, that she helped fund.
