The starting cornerback was benched in the Vikings game after giving up a touchdown to Greg Jennings. Β Sources say rookie Bene Benwikere will replace Cason. Β
The Panthers also released linebacker Jason Williams. Β The team promoted linebacker Horace Miller from the practice squad.
