Β CHARLOTTE, NC — The Fourth Annual Voices Project wrapped up late Monday night in Uptown Charlotte. Β It’s an event that coincides with World AIDS Day.
Local storytellers, WCCB’s Morgan Fogarty and Terrance Bates included, read the stories of local people who’ve been impacted by HIV or AIDS. Β The goal is to start conversations and educate.
“We want to raise awareness,” said RAIN President and CEO Debbie Warren. Β “We want people to get tested if they’re at risk and know that they can get some great medication that will help them live a long and healthy life.”
Β
The Voices Project is free and open to the public, but donations are always accepted. Β The production was developed by the Regional AIDS Interfaith Network, or RAIN, and the Mecklenburg County Health Department.
