CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say a resident at the Ivey’s building in Uptown accidentally shot himself in the hand. The shooting was reported just after 10am at the building on North Tryon Street.
Police initially said a security guard shot himself but just released updated information saying it was a resident.
The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
