Β CHARLOTTE, NC — Three Charlotte churches: the targets of burglaries. Β

Thieves first hit up Newell Baptist Church on Sunday night. Β They stole $3,000 worth of sound equipment. Β Then just before midnight Monday, burglars broke into Saint Paul’s Presbyterian, but didn’t take anything. Β Fifteen minutes later, someone broke out a window at Living Faith Baptist Church. Β Again, nothing was stolen.

“I saw the damage and the equipment missing,” said Pastor Scott Keith of Newell Baptist. Β “I just prayed for them. Β God would use this situation to touch their heart. Β Maybe they needed to use the equipment more than we did.”

Police would not say if they think the three break-ins are connected.
