CHARLOTTE, NC- Terrance Bates talked with NY Civil Rights Attorney Charles Coleman after a Grand Jury decided not to indict a NYC police officer for the choke hold death of Eric Garner.
Coleman says in New York a law prohibits the information from the grand jury’s case to be released. He goes on to say that we won’t know exactly what parts of the video jurors saw, if any.
Tension continues to grow between citizens of NYC and the police force there. Coleman says many are experiencing mixed emotions towards Mayor Bill de Blasio.
As for the Federal Investigation, Coleman believes not much will come from it.
