GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Troopers are investigating an accident that left a woman dead after she was trapped inside a burning vehicle.
The wreck happened Thursday morning on NC 16 near Horseshoe Bend Road. The woman was a passenger in a vehicle that overturned. Troopers say the vehicle then caught fire.
Investigators have not released the name of the victim at this time or what caused the accident. Check back for updates.
