GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Troopers are investigating an accident that left a woman dead after she was trapped inside a burning vehicle.
The wreck happened Thursday morning on NC 16 near Horseshoe Bend Road. Β The woman was a passenger in a vehicle that overturned. Β Troopers say the vehicle then caught fire. Β
Investigators have not released the name of the victim at this time or what caused the accident. Β Check back for updates.
