CHARLOTTE, NC — Fast food workers demand $15 an hour.
Employees at a Bojangles in east Charlotte joined the national protest for higher wages Thursday. They say the current minimum wage of $7.25 an hour isn’t enough to make ends meet, even while working full time.
“$7.25 down here in North Carolina is not enough wage for people to make a living and earn everything that they deserve,” said protester Kwanza Brooks.
These walk-outs come one week after Walmart workers led nationwide strikes leading up to and on Black Friday.
