VAL D’ISERE, France (AP) β The men’s World Cup giant slalom and slalom races scheduled in Val d’Isere next week have been cancelled due to a lack of snow in the French Alps.
The International Ski Federation said the warm temperatures in the resort were also a concern, and it was looking for an alternative venue.
The races were scheduled for Dec. 13-14.
A decision regarding the possible cancellation of the women’s races scheduled for the same weekend in the French Alps resort of Courchevel is expected later Friday.
