ATLANTA (AP) β€” Alabama’s Crimson Tide is playing Missouri in the SEC championship game today. Should the top-ranked Crimson Tide hold off the 14th-ranked Tigers and get a win, they would most certainly qualify for the first college football playoff.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) β€” Florida State, the second ranked team in The Associated Press football poll, is facing No. 12 Georgia Tech in the ACC title game this evening. A win by the Seminoles would all but clinch a spot for them in the first ever college football playoff system.

MILWAUKEE (AP) β€” Coming off a loss earlier in the week, Wisconsin, the second-ranked team in The AP men’s basketball poll is facing another stern task this afternoon. The Badgers are facing in-state rival Marquette in Milwaukee. Wisconsin was upset by the nation’s fourth-ranked school, Duke, on Wednesday.
