Man on the Edge: Nobody Charged in Cam’s Wreck?

Β Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is out of the hospital and is letting fans know he’s shocked he walked away from this crash with just two back fractures. Β Cam posted a mangled picture of his truck on Facebook Wednesday and wrote, “By the look of that picture, someone is supposed to be dead or severely injured worse than what I am right now!”

And now we know that neither driver will be charged. Β Newton was traveling at the speed limit around 35 miles per hour on South Church Street. Β The other driver, Nestor Pellot, Jr., was trying to cross the street and was driving about 20 miles an hour when he hit Newton’s truck. Β That caused it to flip several times on the bridge over I-277.
