Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is out of the hospital and is letting fans know he’s shocked he walked away from this crash with just two back fractures. Cam posted a mangled picture of his truck on Facebook Wednesday and wrote, “By the look of that picture, someone is supposed to be dead or severely injured worse than what I am right now!”
And now we know that neither driver will be charged. Newton was traveling at the speed limit around 35 miles per hour on South Church Street. The other driver, Nestor Pellot, Jr., was trying to cross the street and was driving about 20 miles an hour when he hit Newton’s truck. That caused it to flip several times on the bridge over I-277.
Two witnesses told officers Pellot pulled out in front of Newton. Pellot says he didn’t see Cam’s truck. Two very different versions of what happened. Our Man on the Edge, Robert Wilder, hit the streets to see what people thought about no one being charged in Cam’s wreck…
