CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The coach of the Charlotte 49ers baseball team has dismissed five players following an investigation into hazing allegations. Β
UNC Charlotte has suspended the five students from school as well. Β The baseball team has been reinstated and can continue activities as of Friday. Β
In a news release, school officials say, “The University stands firm in its resolve that there is no place for hazing, bullying or misconduct at UNC Charlotte.”
