WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a last-minute push to prevent a government shutdown, the House bought some time by approving a stop-gap extension Friday.  It will keep the government running until Wednesday, and gives the Senate more time to vote on a $1.1 trillion spending bill.

If there’s no vote, this would mean another government shutdown.  The last shutdown was 14 months ago.
