NEW YORK (AP) β “Pitch Perfect” and “True Blood” actress Anna Camp is returning to the stage, starring as a struggling writer in a new play by Nick Jones at Lincoln Center.
Camp will lead the cast of “Verite” at the Claire Tow Theater starting Jan. 31. She also starred in the film “The Help” and “Equus” on Broadway.
The actress says returning to the stage is something she needs right now: “It’s going to be in the dead of winter, in New York, but that’s fine. I don’t care. I feel like my soul needs it.”
Jones’ play centers on a writer who is offered an unusual deal for her memoir: She has to make her life exciting enough to deserve it being published.
