CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Panthers quarterback Cam Newton returned to practice Wednesday. Β It’s the first time Cam has practiced with the team since he fractured two bones in his back following a serious car wreck in Uptown. Β
Newton split reps with Derek Anderson during practice. Β Anderson led the Panthers to a win Sunday against the Tampa Bay Bucs. Β
Head coach Ron Rivera has not said if Newton will play against the Cleveland Browns. Β However, he did say he liked what he saw at practice. Β Newton will be accessed Thursday to see where he is health wise.Β
