CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Panthers quarterback Cam Newton returned to practice Wednesday. It’s the first time Cam has practiced with the team since he fractured two bones in his back following a serious car wreck in Uptown.
Newton split reps with Derek Anderson during practice. Anderson led the Panthers to a win Sunday against the Tampa Bay Bucs.
Head coach Ron Rivera has not said if Newton will play against the Cleveland Browns. However, he did say he liked what he saw at practice. Newton will be accessed Thursday to see where he is health wise.
