NFL-SCHEDULE

Jags facing Titans

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) β€” Tonight’s NFL game features two teams going nowhere in the midst of lost seasons. The game has Tennessee visiting Jacksonville in a contest that features two teams with identical 2-12 records. For that, they share last place in the AFC South. The Jags and Titans met earlier in the season with Tennessee coming out on top 16-14. To the loser goes a better chance of securing the top pick in the 2015 NFL draft.

NBA-SCHEDULE

Light NBA card this evening

UNDATED (AP) β€” There are just four games this evening in the NBA and without doubt the marquee matchup has Golden State playing host to Oklahoma City. The Warriors saw their 16-game winning streak come to an end two nights ago while the Thunder have won their last seven straight and 9 of 10. On the year the Warriors are a league-best 21-3, in first place in the Atlantic Division, while the Thunder are 12-13 in the Northwest.

The Warriors will once again not have center Andrew Bogut (BOH’-gut) for the game as he continues to nurse a troublesome right knee.

Chicago’s Bulls are the top team in the Central Division and tonight they’re home to the lowly Knicks. New York is just 5-22 on the year while the Bulls are 15-9, a game up on Cleveland.

Two Southwest Division teams are meeting tonight in Houston as the Rockets entertain the Pelicans. Houston has won three straight and eight of 10 to improve to 19-5 on the year. The Pelicans are in the division basement with a mark of 12-12.

In the final game of the night the Kings are playing host to the Bucks. The home team has lost four straight.

NHL-SCHEDULE

Back to work for Caps and Panthers

UNDATED (AP) β€” Fresh off their record-shattering game with Washington, the Florida Panthers are back on the ice tonight for a game with the Flyers in Philadelphia. It was two nights ago that the Panthers beat the Capitals in a record 20-shootout victory. Goalie Roberto Luongo (loh-AHN’-goh) said afterward he had never seen anything like it before. The opposition tonight comes from the sub-500 Flyers, who may have Vincent Lecavalier (leh-KAV’-uhl-yay) back after missing seven games.

The other team involved in that marathon game is also in action tonight. The Caps are on the road for a game with Columbus, which is looking for its eighth straight win.

The Penguins are hopeful that captain Sidney Crosby will be back on the ice tonight against the Avalanche. Crosby has missed three games because of the mumps. The team got a good sign yesterday when Crosby was able to skate on his own before practice. For the Avs this is the start of a three-game road trip.

Anaheim may have its hands full tonight in its game with the Canadiens in Montreal. The home team has won the first three games of a five-game homestand by a combined score of 13-4, including a 6-2 win over defending league champion Los Angeles.

The Maple Leafs are at Carolina. Each team is riding a streak of six — for the Leafs it’s a six-game winning streak while the Hurricanes have dropped their last six.

The second half of a home-and-home series is tonight in Los Angeles as the Kings face the Blues. St. Louis won the first game two nights ago in the Gateway City 5-2.

And in the final game of the night, Edmonton is skating at San Jose. The Sharks have won seven of eight.
