Edge on Demand: Is Hollywood Running Scared?

This video is no longer available.

There’s been more fallout from the North Korean hack on Sony.  Now the studio says it has totally killed the film: no direct-to-video, no DVDs, no streaming.  Ever.  The ripple effect means an upcoming thriller set in the country is also being banned.

And now the U.S. government could get involved, maybe deciding that any cyber attack from outside the country is terrorism, and an act of war.  Essentially it’s, being a bodyguard for the studio system, which now seems scared to allow political artistic creativity.

So what do you think?  Has Hollywood just totally lost its guts?
