
There’s been more fallout from the North Korean hack on Sony. Β Now the studio says it has totally killed the film: no direct-to-video, no DVDs, no streaming. Β Ever. Β The ripple effect means an upcoming thriller set in the country is also being banned. Β
And now the U.S. government could get involved, maybe deciding that any cyber attack from outside the country is terrorism, and an act of war. Β Essentially it’s, being a bodyguard for the studio system, which now seems scared to allow political artistic creativity.
