RUTHERFORD COUNTY, NC– Excessive reports of the flu have caused Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy to close.
Hundreds of students are reportedly out sick at the school, widespread flu cases have affected nearly a third of the students at Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy.
The school decided to cancel classes Thursday and Friday starting their Christmas Break early.
The Department of Health claims four people have already from the flu in North Carolina this year.
