CHARLOTTE, NC- The holidays are here and Dr. Tony’s got some tips to help you avoid food poisoning from the moment you step in the grocery store.
He says to make sure you keep raw meats seperate from the rest of your groceries while shopping.
Defrosting your turkey or meat the right way can also reduce the risk of food poisoning. To thaw meat make sure to do it in the refrigerator.
Make sure you cook items to their correct temperature, keep an eye on the termometer.
Wash your produce including all melons.
