Deadly South Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — UPDATE: Police have identified the victim as 49-year-old Robert Norman Craddock Jr.

The shooter in this case has also been identified and interviewed by detectives. The case will be reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges will be filed.

 

One person is in police custody after a deadly shooting at a South Charlotte apartment complex.

It happened just after 6 a.m. in the 6900 block of Carmel Road, that’s just off of Johnston Road and Highway 51.

Police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside the apartment. When Medic arrived, he was dead.

We’re told that this was not a random act of violence and that two family members were arguing, which led to the shooting.
