CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say a man was shot and killed in southeast Charlotte. Β Investigators say the shooting happened around 9:45 a.m. on Wheatley Avenue near Ellington Street. Β
The victim, Adrian Williams, was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency personnel. Β Police believe the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Williams and Aaron McGriff. Β
McGriff turned himself in to detectives at police headquarters Monday afternoon. Β He is facing murder charges.Β
