CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say a man was shot and killed in southeast Charlotte. Investigators say the shooting happened around 9:45 a.m. on Wheatley Avenue near Ellington Street.
The victim, Adrian Williams, was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency personnel. Police believe the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Williams and Aaron McGriff.
McGriff turned himself in to detectives at police headquarters Monday afternoon. He is facing murder charges.
