CHARLOTTE, NC — Head Coach Ron Rivera says he isn’t concerned about getting mentally prepared for the playoffs.
The Wild Card round is a different animal. Teams will have to raise their level of play, but the Panthers have already been in playoff mode for weeks now. The Cats couldn’t afford to lose a game in December, so every game was played like their last. They aren’t worried about having to up their game, because they’ve been playing at another level for a month.
“We’ve been in playoff mode for a long time. I mean, we really have, especially in these last four weeks,” said Rivera. “The biggest thing that happened as we went through each week was truly a do-or-die situation.”
Expect to pay a lot more for tickets to this Saturday’s game as the week progresses. Monday night, a majority of the tickets on Ticketmaster were listed as “resale”, meaning you will likely pay above face value. Some are already selling for more than $3,000.
