Β CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte Mayor Dan Clodfelter is officially running for the office in 2015. Β
He filed paperwork with the Board of Elections Tuesday, saying he has formed a fund-raising committee. Β The former State Senator was appointed after ex-Mayor Patrick Cannon’s federal corruption scandal.
Two other Democrats say they also plan to run. Β Third-term City Councilman David Howard told WCCB Charlotte last week that he’s formed a committee to raise campaign money. Β Former County Commissioner Jennifer Roberts announced in May that she will run. Β Filing starts in July.
