Matthews Police Look For Man Impersonating Police Officer

MATTHEWS, N.C.– Officials with the Matthews Police Department say they are searching for a man who was impersonating a police officer.

Police say the victim was pulled over by a man in a white Crown Victoria Saturday night  just after 7:30.p.m. on CPCC lane. 
 
The victim says the man then approached the car and saw that he was wearing a dark uniform and an unknown badge. 
 
The man robbed the victim and was last seen driving off towards Stallings. 
 
no weapons were used and no one was hurt during the incident.
 
Police say they are still searching for the suspect who is decribed as a white male about 6’1, 190 lbs with dark hair and a mustache. He was driving a white Crown Victoria with blue lights on the bumper.
