Man Assaulted And Robbed After Drug Deal Goes Bad

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Police say a man was assaulted and robbed after a drug deal went bad in Lincoln County.

Investigators say 20-year-old Christian Ramos told police he was stabbed in the arm with a knife after trying to purchase marijuana.  The suspects are also accused of stealing Ramos’ Jeep Liberty.

The incident happened Saturday evening on Westdale Lane.

Ramos tells police he received a text message about purchasing marijuana and agreed to pick up two suspects at a home in Lincolnton and drove them to Westdale Lane.  That’s when Ramos says a third suspect approached him and the three suspects started assaulting him.

A 16-year-old, Jontavius Littlejohn, was arrested after police located the stolen vehicle.  Littlejohn has been charged with larceny, receiving stolen property and conspiracy robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The investigation is continuing and police expect more arrests in the case.
