CHARLOTTE, NC — Students from Central Piedmont Community College honored the life and legacy of Dr. King through service to others on Monday.
Students participated in a variety of volunteer projects as part of the 11th Annual MLK Challenge. One group helped frame a Habitat for Humanity home under construction in west Charlotte.
“They showed us the video about having, making it a day on, not a day off. That kinda motivated me to come out here, help out, help the community. It’s beneficial to everyone,” said CPCC student Eshaan Zaveri.
Students worked with more than ten local non-profit agencies, including the Carolina Raptor Center, Alexander Youth Network and Samaritan House.
