Man Found Dead Behind Salisbury Apartment

SALISBURY, NC — Salisbury Police don’t appear to have a lot of leads in a new murder case they’re working.  They’ve identified the victim, but have no description of a possible suspect.

Someone called police after finding the body of 24-year-old Oscar Aguilera outside the Lakewood Apartments off Statesville Boulevard around 7:00 Monday morning.  One neighbor, who didn’t want to show his face on camera, says he heard shots and didn’t know what to think.

“I heard about six or seven shots,” he said.  “It was like from an automatic weapon.  And I didn’t pay no more attention to it.  Didn’t really know that anybody got shot until I came down here this morning.”
