Man Found Dead Behind Salisbury Apartment

SALISBURY, NC — Salisbury Police don’t appear to have a lot of leads in a new murder case they’re working. Β They’ve identified the victim, but have no description of a possible suspect.
Someone called police after finding the body of 24-year-old Oscar Aguilera outside the Lakewood Apartments off Statesville Boulevard around 7:00 Monday morning. Β One neighbor, who didn’t want to show his face on camera, says he heard shots and didn’t know what to think.
“I heard about six or seven shots,” he said. Β “It was like from an automatic weapon. Β And I didn’t pay no more attention to it. Β Didn’t really know that anybody got shot until I came down here this morning.”
