
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The criminal trial date has been set for the CMPD officer charged in the shooting death of an unarmed man.
Wes Kerrick was charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Jonathan Ferrell. Kerrick shot Ferrell 10 times in 2013 after he says Ferrell charged at him.
Kerrick’s criminal trial is set for July 20th in Uptown Charlotte. Burke County Judge Robert C. Ervin will preside over the trial.
