CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police arrested a 14-year-old boy for having a BB gun on the campus of Thomasboro Elementary School. Β
Police were called in reference to two people heading towards the school with a gun. Β A CMS police officer witnessed one of the suspects toss a gun on the ground. Β
The officer immediately ordered the suspects to get down and held them at gunpoint until backup arrived. Β Police determined the gun was a BB gun. Β
The teen who was in possession of the gun has been charged with possession of a weapon on school property. Β The second suspect has not been charged. Β
Both suspects are students at Thomasboro Elementary School. Β There were no students at the school since Friday was a teacher work day. Β
