
UPDATE: According to Duke Energy, Power has been restored to residents on Randolph road.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Fallen trees and limbs onto power lines caused an outage that has left over 300 people without power at the 2700 block of Randolph Road Saturday morning.
According to Duke Energy, the outages were first reported just after 5a.m.
An older tree fell onto a power line pulling several lines with it and damaging three other poles.
Randolph Road is currently blocked off all the way to Dotger ave. and all four travel lanes are blocked off near the Mint Museum.
Access to Mint Museum Randolph is unavailable from Randolph Road . The museum will be open during its regular Saturday hours. Anyone planning on going to the museum can get in through the Eastover neighborhood.
According to Duke Energy’s website, power is estimated to be restored at 5:00 this afternoon.
