Police: South Iredell High School Teacher Arrested After Being Sexually Involved With Student
MOORESVILLE, NC– A high school teacher was arrested after police found her and a male student parked on a dead end road.
Police say they observed a suspicious vehicle parked at the end of a dead end road.
After approaching the vehicle, police found South Iredell High School teacher Juliana Ortiz Mills, 37, alone with a male student from the same school.
After investigation authorities found Mills was sexually involved with the student.
The male student was interviewed at the Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center, after investigation police charged Juliana Mills with one count of sexual activity with a student by a teacher, and one count of felony taking indecent liberties with a student by a teacher.
Authorities say in this case the student was over the age of 16, although in North Carolina it is a felony to be involved with a student at any age.
Mills is being held on a $10,000 bond.
