Dr. Tony: Rules For Healthy Coffee Drinking

CHARLOTTE, NC-Β Many people like to have a cup of coffee in the mornings or throughout the day for an energy boost. We’re looking at ways to be healthier while you drink your daily dose of caffeine.Β 

Dr. Tony Hyser from Providence Health says it’s important to minimize the amount of sugar you put in your coffee. He suggests adding things like Stevia, cinnamon, cocoa or vanilla to get a sweeter flavor.Β 

He also says to try and drink organic coffee. It’s made with different pesticides and herbicides than conventional coffee.Β 

Avoiding artificial or low fat creamers will also make for a healthier life.Β
