Former Teacher Accused of Sexual Relationship with Student

CLOVER, SC — A former Clover High School teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a male student is out of jail on bond.

Police charged 24-year-old Michael Landreth on Monday with sexual battery of a 16 or 17-year-old student and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Β 

According to an arrest warrant, the incident happened at Landreth’s home in Lake Wylie in September. Β Investigators say Landreth also gave the teen alcohol. Β 

He has resigned from the high school.
