Charlotte Man Charged With Murder After Gas Station Shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC– Police responded to a assault with a deadly weapon call that left one man dead at a Charlotte gas station.

Authorities say the shooting happened at a Citgo gas station on South Tryon Street around 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Witnesses say gunfire erupted between two customers inside the store that left one man shot and later pronounced deceased.

Police have charged Justin Jerell Eason in the murder of Erick Neely, Eason was charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police have not said what led to the shooting but they are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
