School Bus Window Shatters in Northwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives are trying to determine what caused a Charlotte-Mecklenburg School bus window to shatter.

The incident happened around 5:15 p.m. while the bus was driving on Callahan Street near the intersection of Spring Street. The bus driver continued driving to Newland Road where the driver parked and called 911.

Detectives say 7 students and a bus driver were onboard and were coming from Alexander Graham Middle School. None of the students or the driver were injured.

Detectives say they believe a pellet gun could be the cause of the window shattering. However, no pellet was found on the bus.
