Police Investigating Powdery Substance Sent To Samaritans Purse

BOONE, N.C. — Officials are investigating a package sent to Samaritan’s Purse headquarters in Boone Friday.

The package sent by U.S. Mail reportedly contained a powdery white susbstance.

The contents of the package were immediatily reported to authorities and Watauga County Sheriff’s are investigating the incident.

A spokes person with Samaritan’s Purse released this statement, “It contained a white powdery substance and was immediately reported to the proper authorities who are investigating.”
