WASHINGTON (AP) β€” A Justice Department inspector general report is disputing allegations by former CBS News correspondent Sharyl Attkisson that the federal government secretly monitored her home computers.

Attkisson repeated those allegations Thursday in testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the nomination of Loretta Lynch to be attorney general.

She has said her computers were accessed remotely due to her reporting on the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal and the terror attacks in Benghazi.

But an inspector general report obtained Thursday by The Associated Press said there is no evidence to support those allegations.

Attkisson said in an interview Thursday that investigators only had access to her home computer and that forensic exams made “clear” that her machines were remotely accessed.
