(Charlotte, NC) Vajradhara Buddhist Center is hosting this event with resident teacher, Gen Kelsang Tilopa, who will give teachings and guided meditations that enable anyone to develop a loving and affectionate attitude. Affectionate Love is the very basis of the Buddhist path to enlightenment. All other good qualities including compassion and wisdom develop naturally from this mind. This presentation is free to the public on February 15th, 2015 from 2:00PM-4:00PM. at the Levine Museum of the New South. Donations are accepted. Gen Kelsang Tilopa is the Resident Teacher of Vajradhara Buddhist Center in Charlotte and Kosala Buddhist Center in Chapel Hill, and the principal Kadampa Buddhist teacher in North Carolina. He has been a fully ordained monk in the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT) for more than 16 years, and is a devoted disciple and close student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the founder of NKT. Gen Tilopa is well loved for his clear and humorous teachings and a living example that shows how pure Kadam Dharma teachings and practices can improve the quality of our daily lives at home, at work, at school, and especially in our personal relationships. Born and educated in Scotland, Gen Tilopa has developed Kadampa centers and given teachings in Scotland; Atlanta Georgia; Columbia South Carolina; and Tennessee.
