Brad Malone scored on a third-period penalty shot and Jordan Staal added a late goal for the Hurricanes, who’ve lost three straight.
CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Josh Cameron scored 18 points and Elijah Wilson added 15 to lead Coastal Carolina to a 68-56 Big South Conference victory over North Carolina-Asheville last night. With the victory, Coastal Carolina’s Cliff Ellis became the first coach in Division I history to win 150 or more games at four different schools.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Bobby Portis had 18 points and 13 rebounds as Arkansas won for the fourth time in five games with a 75-55 win over South Carolina last night. Sindarius Thornwell led South Carolina with 16 points, while Marcus Stroman added 10. The Gamecocks have lost five of their last six games.
BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) — Andrew Ryan scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had six assists to help Campbell beat Presbyterian 66-53 last night. Ryan made five of Campbell’s 10 3-pointers and Luke Moyer hit four more.
