AMSTERDAM (AP) — American forward Aron Johannsson scored for the second straight game, giving AZ Alkmaar a 1-0 win at Ajax on Thursday night.
Ajax’s Niklas Moisander was ejected in the 62nd minute sent off for pushing Johansson while he was in a goal-scoring position. Fourteen minutes later, Johansson scored his fourth league goal this season.
Ajax (13-4-4) is second, 12 points behind PSV Eindhoven. AZ (11-5-5) is fifth, another five points back.
