Watson had 22 points and David West, Luis Scola and Rodney Stuckey each had 15 as the Pacers battled back from a 21-point, third-quarter deficit for their third straight win.
DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Elizabeth Williams had 21 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists as Duke cruised past Clemson 89-60 yesterday for its fifth straight win. It was Williams’ seventh double-double of the season and 26th of her career. She was one assist shy of her second career triple-double.
BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) — Brittany Rountree scored 15 points to lead five players in double figures as North Carolina rolled to a 74-52 victory over Virginia Tech yesterday. North Carolina bounced back after losing at Syracuse, 61-56 on Thursday night.
UNDATED (AP) – Dean Smith, the North Carolina basketball coaching great who won two national championships, has died. He was 83. The school said in a statement Sunday from Smith’s family that the former coach died at his home Saturday night. He was with his wife and five children.
